Since AFCON spirit is in the air, we can’t deny that every single day we are more amazed by Salah’s talent. It’s part of the reason why we love him so much—he makes his fans around the world proud by being one of the world’s top footballers, and with his undeniable skills, we haven’t even met someone who doesn’t appreciate Salah’s phenomenal skills.

But we also want to give some credit to other players playing outside Egypt who have been recognised for their talent. Since these players are currently playing in respectable leagues, we know, of course, that they ARE talented. The problem is that, in Egypt, they don’t get nearly half of the recognition that Salah receives, and we think it’s time to change that. So, we decided to highlight these players today.

  • Mohamed Elneny

We all saw Mohamed Elneny’s determination and incredible skills in the Egypt VS Morocco match, as well as him securing Man of the Match in the Egypt Vs Cote d’Ivoire game, so we know he knows how and when to shine! Even if he’s not seeing eye-to-eye with his fellow teammates, Elneny still does what he does best. And, that is something that we and Arsenal FC, which recognised his talents when he played for Swiss club Basel FC, saw when it signed him. Since he’s the first Egyptian to ever play for this English club, where he still is, we’d say that’s kind of a big deal!

  • Mostafa Mohamed

Even with all the college test drama happening with the football star right now, it’s still hard to forget that Mostafa Mohamed is a star in Turkey, where he plays as a forward for Galatasaray. Starting out at Zamalek SC, Mohamed was loaned to the Turkish club and kept his playing level the same—optimum and efficient!

  • Omar Marmoush

A striker for VfB Stuttgart, Omar Marmoush was spotted at Wadi Degla FC, where he previously played and wowed audiences with his skills. The young footballer was (and is) so skilful and brimming with potential that it’s not hard to see why he was immediately scouted. Or, why he’s killing it at the top of Stuttgart’s statistics.

  • Ahmed Hegazy

Ahmed Hegazy knows how to wow us, doesn’t he? Although we’ve been watching him play for the Egyptian National Team (until his recent injury), we also have our eyes on him at the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Ittihad FC, which signed him as its centre-back because of his sick form. From Ismaily FC to Al-Ahly to West Brom to  Al-Ittihad, what a glow-up!

  • Mahmoud Trezeguet

Were you amazed by Salah's assist to Mahmoud Trezeguet at the recent Egypt VS Morocco match? Then you’ll be glad to know there’s more where that came from because he amazes us every time we see him play! Currently, Trezeguet is considered one of Egypt’s most loved football players, and we can totally tell why. After leaving Al-Ahly SC, Trezeguet had a stint in Turkey before going to English club Aston Villa, where he’s killing it as a midfielder and getting the recognition he deserves!
