Put your snazziest outfit on because, well, ‘tis the season for partying! With that in mind, this season offers a lot more than regular parties. It also offers a ton of anticipated concerts, which means it’s time we talk about some concert do’s & don’ts because there are several precautions to keep in mind.

Now, naturally, concerts are some of the most entertaining things in the world, especially if the performer is someone you idolize and enjoy listening to, with this month’s concerts being extra special since it’s the year is finally ending!

Going to concerts can be very tiring, yet very exciting and fun at the same time. Fear not, though, because if you still aren’t quite sure what to do and NOT do (or if you’ve been out of the concert-going game for some time), we got you with these tips to follow when going to a concert and vibing to the good music without worrying about anything.

Do:

-Wear comfortable shoes. See, with the way most concerts in Egypt go, you’ll be out from noon till late at night, which will be obviously very, very tiring for your feet and could potentially ruin your whole mood.

-Wear comfy clothes because jumping up and down and dancing is a concert must. With all that chaotic energy, you wouldn’t want to be weighed down because you chose to wear something that looks incredibly good but isn’t at all practical.

-Check the regulations for anything and everything you should bring. You’ll usually find them mentioned on the ticket and/or website.

-Bring LOTS of water because you will need it. Since concerts take up a period of time and you’ll be dancing for most of that time, you might get dehydrated along the way. Other than draining your energy levels and ruining the fun, dehydration can lead to some serious issues.

Don’t:

-Push your way through the front of the crowd without excusing yourself. Not only can this cause someone an injury, it could also start pretty big problems, such as fights that will NOT go over well with security guards.

-Wear expensive jewelry or take any expensive belongings with you. Concerts tend to be very crowded with people from all walks of life and we think this is enough of an explanation.

-Get a big bag. What you should do instead is take a small, rather comfortable big with you so you can move around freely. Why worry about your bag when you can minimise the risk by getting something smaller?

-Bring any illicit substances with you. If this isn’t transparent enough, maybe this will be: don’t take any ‘fun substances’ from any strangers either. Stay safe, so you can enjoy the whole concert experience (and go home in one piece).
