Rumours regarding a possible romance between Egyptian stars Yasmin Abdelaziz and Ahmed El Awady have been circulating for a while now. The speculations surfaced when the actors' social media interactions raised suspicion; not to mention that they were constantly spotted together lately. But in spite of their denial, rumours were only confirmed after Abdelaziz's brother attacked them both on her official Facebook page yesterday.
Wael Abdelaziz made a long statement, objecting to the relationship. After listing the things he has done for his sister, he made it clear that the family will not accept her getting together with El Awady, who is much younger than Yasmin. He then went on and shamed El Awady for not following traditions and officially asking for her hand from her family. El Awady replied to the aggressive post, shaming Wael for trying to ruin his sister's public image. The comments went back and forth, but eventually, everything was pulled down.
This morning, both Yasmin and Ahmed posted a picture together on Instagram, captioned with the L-word; they finally spilt it out in public! No one still knows where this relationship is going, but for now, we know for sure they're happily in love, and that's what matters. We're happy for you guys!
