In a few days, 2019 will come to an end and we’ll welcome a new year with arms wide open. There’s no doubt that this year, we’ve witnessed a large number of rising talents that managed to draw our attention. And because of their distinguished performances and dazzling talents, we thought of highlighting their names because we’re expecting that 2020 will be in their favour. 

Here are our favourite five remarkable rising stars that had their breakthrough in 2019.

#1 Hanady Mehanna

The rising actress, who’s the daughter of the musician Hany Mehanna, is considered one of the new remarkable talents that first made an appearance last Ramadan.

Hanady participated in three series during the Ramadan season, which are Zelzal, Hekayty, and Baraka. However, her role in Zelzal, alongside the superstar Mohamed Ramadan, was the most prominent of all. 

#2 Mostafa Shawky

If the name rings a bell, then you probably heard of him because of his latest hit song, Maltesht El Oloob. The song was one of 2019’s greatest hits that topped charts, achieving massive success. Although Shawky started singing in 2003, he couldn’t have his breakthrough until this year.

#3 Rosaline Elbay

Elbay turned heads in her first-ever television drama appearance in Kabeel, with her remarkable talent and natural beauty. She played the role of Sarah, the deceased wife of detective Tarek, whose existence was quite an integral cornerstone in the storyline. 

Rosaline also took part in Ahmed Mourad’s film adaptation of Torab El Mas as well as the short film Shokka w Sekina. However, her real beginning was in Kabeel. 

#4 Malak Hassan

Fans of Zay El Shams TV series strongly admired Malak Hassan for her remarkable talent. The young actress impressed everyone with her debut role, alongside superstar Dina El Sherbiny. This was actually first time for Malak to stand in front of a camera. With that kind of professional performance, it’s unbelievable, right? The actress is considered the youngest rising talent of the year as she is only 16!

#5 Khaled Mounib

The new singer has some similar facial features to his late uncle, the superstar Amer Mounib. Fortunately, he was gifted with the same exceptional talent as well. Khaled presented several songs, including Arfa Nafsaha, El To2l Mazag, and Mafesh Kalam Yet2al. 

2019 was Mounib’s lucky year as he made it to the top hits list of the year with his single Naweely A’ala Eh; the song got more than three million views on YouTube.
