Let’s agree that fame isn’t easy. Having to go for a walk with everyone pointing fingers at you and chasing you for a selfie is kind of frustrating and could be, at times, an invasion of privacy. However, this all comes with a price; the spotlight and compromise come together hand in hand. So, Esseily snapping at a fan for wanting a selfie at one of his concerts is so not cool.
A video went viral on social media and its content sparked rage at Egyptian singer Mahmoud El Esseily. The singer was addressing a fan mid-concert telling him that he’s no different than others and if he’s going to take a photo with him, he has to stop the concert to take photos with all the other attendees. Seriously? Are you for real?
The singer did respond on Twitter, but deleted the tweet afterwards. He said that the concert was at a campus and one of the students was insistent to take a photo and that all he said was that if he did, he’ll have to stop singing to take photos with everyone. He then added, “Please don’t judge if you weren’t there.”

Well, dear Esseily, you’re a star, fans want to take photos with you all the time. Accept it and live with it. We know it’s exhausting, but the least you could do, in fact, what you HAVE to do, is not be rude about it. It’s okay to stop for a few selfies WHILE SINGING, and if you mind, then just let it slip. There’s no need for such an aggressive attitude.
We all love Esseily’s music, we can’t deny that. The guy does create music that appeals to many tastes and gives a super positive vibe to parties. Yet, that does not give him an excuse to snap at fans like that. This is not the singer’s first time to get attacked because of his attitude or choice of wording. He even offended Myriam Fares after her incident, pointing at her “coarse” curly hair, which is considered an offence in Egypt. Check his Twitter account and you’ll stumble upon wonders.
