When we go through hardships in life, we grow, and we learn lessons. We evolve in a way, and we start looking at things differently. We’re all meant to go through something in order to become who we are today. However, we sometimes hope for someone who could have warned us of what’s ahead. Or maybe share with us their experience, so we don’t end up in the same pitfalls. Fortunately, Dawwie is here for this specific reason.

Dawwie in Arabic means a voice that’s loud enough to create an echo. This initiative is about sharing your experiences with others, like a time capsule but not for the future, it’s for today.

The National Council for Children and Women collaborated with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Social Solidarity to develop this initiative. This also came to life with a great supporting role from the UNICEF.

So, let’s say you went through something that changed your life. By sharing your story, you might save someone else’s life. Anyone can share their inspiring story using the hashtag #Dawwie, and the thoughtful initiative will strive to make voices heard. Dawwie targets mainly women, but they said that also men can take part.
