Liverpool has put an end to all the rumours about Mo Salah going to Real Madrid, or any other team for that matter, by announcing that he’s staying with them until the summer of 2023.

The Egyptian football player signed a new contract that will see him staying with the reds for half a decade. It is a long-term contract, but this is because Mo Salah has become an integral part of the team.

Salah undoubtedly delivered a hell of a season in the Premier League this year and took his team to the UEFA Champions League Final. (No need to tell you all about the 44 goals in his 52 appearances; or the PFA Player of the Year award, the Premier League’s Golden Boot Award, etc.)

We were hoping that Mo Salah renews his contract with Liverpool, and Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, was hoping for that as well. Klopp said on the club’s website that he thinks that “this news can be seen for what it is; rewarding a person who performed and contributed greatly to the team and the club last season. It demonstrates two things very clearly: his belief in Liverpool and our belief in him.”

Sorry Real Madrid, you are not taking Mo Salah, and your sorry ass of a Ramos will soon be struggling to get the ball from him! And, for all Liverpool fans, it has been claimed that there’s no release clause in Salah’s contract, so don’t worry we’re all winners now.
