Since we’ve told you all about the Ramadan ads we didn’t like, it’s only fitting we tell you about the ones we absolutely loved and can watch over and over without getting bored. It’s important to say that all these ads have two things in common: A lot of heart and charm!

So, if you’re curious about what Ramadan ads Egyptians will keep gushing over, start reading!

Orange

via YouTube

How can we not include this ad? Not only did Orange’s new ad make us feel the power of spring, but it also made us fondly remember the iconic Soad Hosny! Of course, it didn’t hurt that it had our three favourite actresses, too—Mona Zaki, Nelly Karim, and Dina El-Sherbiny simply killed it. How about that for ‘female power’?!

Unionaire

via YouTube

Ever thought you’d see Ghada Adel rapping? Well, even if you didn’t, then you’ll be glad to know that this actually happened. Co-starring in the Unionaire ad with the one and only Abo El Anwar, Ghada gave it her all. Who knows? Maybe we’ll see her topping the Spotify charts soon!

WE

via YouTube

A pairing we never knew we needed, Yasmin Abdelaziz and Karim Mahmoud Abdelaziz kicked off Ramadan with a WE ad that instinctively makes us smile! In this ad, the duo play several characters that live drastically different versions of Ramadan, telling us that, as long the spirit is there, Ramadan will always be jolly.

Etisalat

via YouTube

If you’ve been missing Rom-Coms for a while, you’re in for a treat with this Etisalat ad! Not only will you get to see Ahmed Ezz and Carmen Bsaibes fall in love over and over again—but you’ll also get to see these scenarios happen as Aziz Maraka sings in the background!

Vodafone

via YouTube

Specialising in telling long-form tales, Vodafone is back with yet another wholesome story that will make you ‘ooh’ and ‘aww’ as you watch it. This ad tells the story of a couple as they meet, fall in love, and eventually tie the knot, with Vodafone participating discretely in that connection.

Badya

via YouTube

Yet another ad that tells several stories featuring the same people, Badya shows Ahmed Malek going through several situations, all set in Badya. Artistically shot, the stories themselves are like testaments to quaint indie movies.
