The 2019 Egyptian production, Al Daif (The Guest), has garnered massive attention worldwide since it hit the movie theatres earlier this year. And ever since its release, the film has landed both itself and its cast some prestigious awards. The latest is Jamila Awad’s Best African/Asian Actress award at the New Vision International Film Festival (NVIFF) held in Amsterdam.

“Guess what? I won the Best African/Asian Actress award for Al Daif movie from NVIFF, but I don’t have any pictures with the trophy because it’s still being shipped” the starlet said as she took to Instagram.

The film has been stealing the show ever since its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. As it had a full-house screening, it proudly won the Audience Award, which was later followed by other awards and recognition.
