Despite being banned from singing in concerts in Egypt by the Musicians’ Syndicate, shaabi star Hamo Bika recently announced on his official Facebook page that he’ll soon perform in the US!

Bika’s complications with the Egyptian Musicians’ Syndicate isn’t just limited to banning him, but the singer was referred to El Dekheila’s Misdemeanor Court as he was accused of insulting the Head of Musicians’ Syndicate, Hany Shaker.

Nothing, however, stopped Bika from making music; he didn’t back down, and his popularity still managed to grow.

The shaabi singer’s international stardom seems to be on its way though. A tweet by CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, went viral, and it’s the current talk of social media because of Bika’s involvement in it. Musk shared a screenshot of a list of the most played songs on SoundCloud, as number 8 happens to be his latest EDM song, Don’t Doubt Your Vibe. What caught everyone’s attention though was that number 7 on the charts was Shams El Magarra, a song of the Egyptian mahraganat genre by Bika, featuring Omar Kamal and Hassan Shakoush.

Surprisingly, Bent El Geran, a song by the other two artists, featured at number 2!
