Last night, Egyptian superstar Sherif Moneer posted a video in response to the cyberbullying incident that took place on his account a few days earlier. He promised imprisonment for anyone who offended him or his daughters and encouraged everyone to file an official complaint and take legal action against cyberbullies if they ever have to endure this.

It all started when the actor posted a picture of two of his daughters, 16-year-old Farida and 12-year-old Camilia. It seemed perfectly fine; a loving father proud of his kids, and decides to share this moment with his fans on his personal social media, so what happened? Some people thought it’s completely fine to leave the most hateful comments on how his kids were dressed and harass them in every possible, and unacceptable, way.

After his daughters and wife insisted, Moneer pulled down the post, and posted a quote that said, “Too much of good intentions may cost you a lot.”

Shortly after, he posted the picture again, only to send the haters a message that is loud and clear. Sherif didn’t want anyone to control his account or have a say in what he decides to publish; it’s his account, and this is personal freedom, as long as he’s not harming anyone with his content.
