With everyone active on social media and following the same entertaining content, social media platforms took notice and started developing a ton of online shows and programmes. Why? Well, because no one watches TV anymore, and everyone is on social media!

Think there’s a better reason why everyone’s obsessed with these online programmes? So do we! Read on to find out our thoughts.

Dating and relationships are a hot commodity on social media!

If you have been on any social media platform lately, you’ve probably noticed that everyone is talking about Binge Circle’s The Blind Date Show. This show is about two strangers who go on a blind date and talk about topics such as money or social life to see if they’re on the same page or are fundamentally different. They also get to rate each other to determine the likelihood of them going on a second date.

One of the reasons that this show is such a success is because people like to watch the differences between Egyptian men and women, according to their different social circles and personas. Watching how one frames an opinion about who should pay on a first date and who should pay for the wedding never gets old either! It’s always amusing to see how someone reveals their character as they talk about what kind of partner they actually are. Who doesn’t like to see a gossip-worthy date unfold, right?

Comedy is always the answer!

Who doesn’t like to use a good laugh after a long day at work? Everyone follows comedic content in all its forms! This has led to a plethora of stand-up comedy shows and other creative content that uses satire for attraction. For example, Peace Cake’s famous show, Romanceya Manseya, is all about the funny pickup lines that make the girl laugh and not really about “romance”.

Additionally, Peace Cake’s other hit show, Emsek Nafsak, is a pure take on comedy, especially “dad jokes”, which most Egyptians love! Both shows are well-made and just bless us with the hilarity of the best quality.
