In the last few days, Egypt celebrated not just its selection as one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in the world by the World Tourism Organization. The country with the rich heritage was featured in Forbes Magazine's "Where To Go Next: 27 Best Places To Travel In 2020". CNN also featured El Gouna as one of the top destinations for a memorable kitesurfing experience.

The Forbes report; published a few days ago on the magazine's website, said that Egypt was chosen by the American traveller Lexie Alford. The 21-year-old happens to be a Guinness world record holder as she's the youngest person to travel to every single country in the world.

Alford clarified the reasons why she considers Egypt as an important tourism destination. She believes that Egypt is one of the most underrated countries even though it embraces a well-preserved history and unique culture.

The Guinness world record holder also discussed the upcoming opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The museum boasting a large collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts is expected to be one of the largest museums in the world.

Moving on to CNN’s report, Egypt's El Gouna was named one of the top destinations to practice kitesurfing. The regular wind movement and the smooth, shallow water surfaces make the beach town the perfect spot to ride winds.

2019 is definitely Egypt's lucky charm. Don't miss the 10 other times when Egypt was recognised internationally this year.
