Last Tuesday, and after three months of trials, Mwaslat Misr announced that the X-Bus has started operating in the streets of Cairo, specifically between Downtown and New Cairo, and added that the company is seeking to activate new routes during the next few months.

The electric bus includes 44 seats, will depart from Downtown and stop at four main stations which are Ramses Street, Abbasiya Square, Ninetieth Street, then the American University. The ticket price EGP 25, although people with the company’s smart card will travel for EGP 18.

The bus does not result in any pollution to the environment because it depends on electricity and not on traditional fuel. The electric bus is also equipped with all amenities for passengers, such as comfortable seats, air conditioning, entertainment screens, and Wi-Fi service. In addition, it is also well equipped to receive people with disabilities.

The ticket can be bought from machines on the buses, and you can also find out about the lines, the closest station to you, and arrival times through Mwaslat Misr mobile application which you can download through Google Play or the App Store.
