This morning, Egyptian filmmaker Amr Salama published the official trailer for his upcoming Netflix original series, Paranormal. The series, based on Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s 81-novel series, Ma Waraa’ Al Tabi’aa, will go out globally on the 5th of November.

The scenes in the trailer will give you the chills; it seems like the first Egyptian Netflix original will be acing the horror genre! Not to mention that the quality of the series looks quite impressive, from the angles to colour palette, we’re super hooked now. What we’re excited for the most is to see how actor Ahmed Amin is going to perform. Amin, who plays the lead role portraying the character of Dr Refaat Ismail, is used to playing comedy; however, this will be his first role of its kind, and we can’t wait to see how it’ll turn out.

Paranormal follows the stories of Dr Refaat Ismail, a haematologist who comes across a series of supernatural events in Egypt’s 1960s. It’s directed by Egyptian Amr Salama and Emirati, Majid Al Ansari. The horror series is also co-produced with Salama and Film Clinic’s Mohamed Hefzy.

Let the countdown begin!
