How many times per day, on average, do you find yourself thinking “man, life used to be so simple when we were kids”? Well, we’ve heard your prayers, and we took it upon ourselves to bring it all back. Time to let go of all the adult crap, and reminisce about the good old days where we’d try to make the most of the limited TV time we were allowed. Here are all the cartoons we used to watch growing up, and we’re not just talking about Tom & Jerry; that show started in the 40s, mentioning such a classic would be so stating-the-obvious!

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (’87)

1

Speaking turtles, who are also ninjas; damn that’s a sentence we never thought we’d write. But if you grew up watching this show, you’d know how bloody brilliant it was!

2. Pinky and the Brain (‘95)

2

We got two sentences for you.

Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky - try to take over the world!

Enough said, really.

3. Disney’s Recess (’97)

3

A bunch of fourth-graders who are determined to protect their schoolmates on the playground from the evil bully who goes by the name of King Bob. Epic!

4. The Magic School Bus (’94)

4

Who among us didn’t love field trips?! Now, imagine for a sec if there was a show filled with lots of them. Oh wait, it exists already!

5. Pokemon (’97)

5

Pikachu and Ash, not sure which of them we love most.

6. Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! (’69)

66

Don’t you just wish you could hop into the Mystery Machine and hit the road with Velma, Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo in search of weird phenomena to solve? Well, we do!

7. Dragon Ball Z (’89)

7

Remember all the valuable character virtues we supposedly learned from Goku and the Z Warriors when they defended earth against evil? Yeah, us neither.

8. The Real Ghostbusters (’86)

8

Awesome people going around town, busting ghosts. Need we go on?

9. Popeye the Sailor (’33)

9

Spinach-eating Popeye was definitely an on-screen friend we all had!

10. Dexter’s Laboratory (’96)

10

Raise your hands if you wish you were half as brilliant as the famous Dexter!

11. Case Closed AKA Detective Conan (’96)

11

Raise your hands if you never, not even once, guess the correct murderer on this brilliant Japanese show!

12. Timon & Pumba (’95)

12

The awesome adventures of two of our most favourite Disney characters, yes please!

13. Captain Tsubasa AKA Captain Majed (’85)

13

Footballs and adrenaline go well together, and if you’ve watched Captain Majed scoring a goal; you’d know!

14. The Road Runner Show (’66)

14

Ah, the classic never-ending rivalry between the coyote and the roadrunner.

15. Ana Wa Akhy

15

You’re probably humming the theme song to yourself right now. Don’t deny it!

16. Abtal El Digital

16

A show just like Pokemon, only a more "digitalised" version and it has a wider variety of creatures. Yes puh-lease!

17. Sabek Wa Lahek

17

A show about racing cars, that’s a precious piece of childhood right there!

18. Grendizer

18

Watching a duke fight bad people, and there are space shuttles involved?! Yes please!
