"Hi Everyone!  It's hard to believe, but Nūn has already been open for a whole year! To celebrate our first birthday, we're inviting everyone to the center for an open house at 6p.m. on November 17. This is a great time to stop by and say hi, or bring by friends who haven't yet visited Nūn. We've got some amazing gifts to hand out to the first 300 visitors, and we'll have plenty of food, drinks and music. The open house is also an opening for a new art exhibit by internationally acclaimed Cairo artist Rana Chalabi, so the center will be looking brand new. Don't miss it, and bring your friends! See you there," in that one year anniversary, they also will be holding an exhibition Rana Chalabi is an internationally exhibited and acclaimed Arab artist whose work spans a variety of media and themes. This current exhibit, as part of the one year anniversary of the NUN Center in Cairo, honors the spirit of women who have the courage to pursue their visions and dreams.  The title of the exhibit refers to the eponymous song by Lee Ann Womack and the lyrics of which are worth quoting in this context: I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance…
