Ever since the filmmakers of Welad Rizk announced that Osood El Ard would be coming back for a sequel, we’ve been sitting on the edge of our seats. Teasing us with promo after another, and finally, the official trailer has been dropped yesterday and the internet is going crazy!

So, what are we expecting? Well, it seems that Welad Rizk have been prepping for one hell of a comeback. Stacked piles of cash, chasing cars, and tuxedos? From the trailer, we can tell that it’s going to be double the action, double the suspense, and double the thrill. Apparently, director Tarek El Erian is going big with part 2. Apart from that, the picture looks promising, thanks to the lighting and frames in certain scenes.

However, the massive size of production is kind of leaving us with some doubts about the film. Could this be an attempt to impress viewers and wow them with generous spending rather than a decent script and picture? Well, guess we have to wait till Eid Al Adha, when the film is going to be released, to see for ourselves and judge. After all, Tarek El Erian and screenwriter Salah El Gehiny are two prominent figures in the industry; we hope they won’t disappoint.

The first part followed the crime filled life of four brothers and a deal that goes wrong. The sequel, on the other hand, fast-forwards to three years later after they try to commit to a better life but end up going back to the criminal world. The cast features the same actors, Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawoud, Ahmed El Fishawy, Karim Kassem, and Mohamed Mamdouh. However, some new faces are making an appearance in the sequel. Those include Khaled El Sawy, Eyad Nassar, Bassem Samra, and Ghada Adel.
