In an interview with MBC Trending, Egyptian screenwriter Tamer Habib revealed some juicy details about the second part of hit series, Zay El Shams. After the entire country finally figured out who was Farida's murderer as the first part came to an end, it was about time to solve a new crime.

Zay El Shams, that aired in Ramadan 2019, starred Dina El Sherbiny, Riham Abdelghafour, Ahmed El Saadany, Ahmed Dawoud, Ahmed Malek, Sawsan Badr, and more. The series was written by Mariam Naoum and directed by both Kamla Abou Zekri and Sameh Abdelaziz. So far, El Sherbiny was the only cast member who confirmed her presence in the new part during El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) 3. And with Habib's announcement, we can safely say that the screenwriter has obviously changed. However, handing the script to Habib is not the only change made.

"The second part will be completely different from the first one," Habib told MBC.

The acclaimed screenwriter mentioned that the director would change, as well as the story and the characters. Whether or not the same cast would be there remained disclosed, but we know for sure that there will be another case to solve and another killer to catch.

Tamer Habib is a brilliant writer who's been the mastermind behind lots of hit films and series such as Sahar El Layali, Taimour w Shafika, Grand Hotel, La Totfea' El Shams, Tariqy, Halawet El Donia, and more. Not just that, but he's also the one behind Abu and Yousra's 3 Daqat from GFF's first edition.
