Here’s a scene you know all too well, we’re sure: you’re lounging on your couch (or your bed, who knows) with your laptop as you browse through hundreds of TV shows that you’re not sure you want to watch. You do want to watch something; it’s just that you don’t know what it is.

In that case, allow us to tell you that there are a ton of Egyptian TV shows coming out, and you’ll love engaging with every single one of them. For now, though, let’s just share these four recommendations that are sure to make your binge-watching nights a lot more fun.

Mawdoo’ ‘Aely

It’s been a long, long time since we’ve seen a family-oriented Egyptian show, right? Too long to the point where we thought that those stories were honestly kind of extinct. They’re not, though, because they’re making a comeback in Shahid’s Mawdoo’ ‘Aely, set to air soon on Shahid.

Starring Maged El-Kedwany, Rana Raes, Mohamed Shahin, Taha Desouky, and more, this show will delve into the secrets found behind every door, showing just how people can live under the same roof and still be strangers.

Final Scene

An anthological series, Final Scene, gives us a window into the lives of different characters and the comical-yet-undeniably serious situations they find themselves in. Only two episodes in, the show’s most recent episode paints an anxious picture of a man, played by Ahmed Dawood, who tries to fulfill his materialistic wife’s every need to the point where he has to make a shady deal with a mysterious woman played by Nelly Karim.

Before you ask, yes, every episode provides this intriguing mix of high stakes and nonsensical events, with the stories resolving in its final scene.

Anesa Farah

If you’re anxiously waiting for Anesa Farah’s fourth and final season, you’ll be happy to know that the wait is no more! Having started airing, this unique Egyptian adaptation of the American series Jane the Virgin still provides us with all the heart-wrenching yet poignant storylines and relationships that keep us wanting more.

What’s that? You haven’t watched the first three seasons? Well, you better get started so you’re all caught up for the finale. Trust us; you won’t regret it!

The Game

Yet another series that’s got everyone waiting on its new season is The Game, starring Hesham Maged and Chico! If you’re an avid fan of the show or you’ve seen enough of its memes, you have a pretty clear idea as to why. With all of its wacky situations and high stakes, The Game is the last comedic Egyptian show that felt, well, funny.

No, there are literally no exaggerations here. You’ll laugh, then you’ll laugh some more, and after you’re done, you’ll still have a few chuckles left in you.
