Forget About “Weld El Ghalaba”, Breaking Bad the Movie Is Coming for Real

Amidst the Ramadan 2019 frenzy that put the makers of “Weld El Ghalaba” under fire, hardcore Breaking Bad fans were in pain the most. The Egyptian series was guilty of miserably failing at copying the Golden Globe award-winning TV hit. Let’s just put all of that aside, because with all due respect to El Sakka, Heisenberg rules. Walter White is the only one who knocks here, okay? And he did, he came knocking on our doors with some great news.

Remember back in late 2018 when news emerged about a potential Breaking Bad movie? Well, that seems to be for real. On Tuesday night, both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, playing White and fellow cook Jesse Pinkman, teased us for an upcoming collaboration. Each tweeted a photo of a pair of donkeys that reads “soon”. So, is that a reunion for our favourite drug mules?

Wait, it gets better. A couple of minutes later, Peter Gould, writer and producer of the five-season show, retweeted saying that “he’s looking forward to this.” We sense a confirmation here!

Could the spinoff be following Pinkman’s life with possible Heisenberg flashbacks? Well, one thing we know for sure is that according to NME, the film will be a sequel, and not a prequel like Better Call Saul, and will premiere on Netflix. We’re still not sure about the release date, but it seems to be coming really soon.

The AMC series follows the story of a chemistry teacher who breaks bad after he finds out he has cancer. He then crosses paths with a meth junkie, and they end up cooking together until chemistry teacher become notorious drug lord.
