For the last couple of decades, Eid Al-Fitr has been a special time for Egyptian cinema. Movies from many genres are released to entertain us after the film-deprived Ramadan when everyone just sticks to watching Ramadan TV shows. Luckily, a collection of dramas, comedies, and thrillers is coming our way this Eid. Let us tell you everything you need to know about these movies.

Wahed Tani

The beloved star Ahmed Helmy is returning to the cinema with the movie Wahed Tani. His character has lost all passion for life and stumbles upon a medical procedure that ‘brings passion back’, making him almost look like he’s playing two different characters. The Spider

The release of The Spider was postponed for three years for more than one reason. Not only is this film bringing back the duo that is  Ahmed Al-Sakka and Mona Zaki, but its events also revolve within a framework of action and romance. The story revolves around Al-Sakka’s character, who faces conflict with the mafia because of the actions of his brother, portrayed by Dhafer L’Abidine. With a cast like that, it’s no wonder that everyone is looking forward to The Spider, especially since Al-Sakka wears a mask and a cool black suit throughout the film.
