Movie trailers are getting released, and our excitement and intrigue are on the rise, with the new releases looking promising. Here are the upcoming movies that we just can’t wait to see on the big screen, because if the trailer is that good, then the film must be a hit!
- El A’ref
Remember earlier when celebrities on social media were ‘hacked’ earlier this month? Well, the stunts they pulled were actually part of a witty promotional campaign for El A’ref, which tackles cybercrime!
The plot follows the life of a man named Younis, who tries to rob a bank using the internet, only to face dire circumstances. The movie stars Ahmed Ezz, Ahmed Fahmy, Mahmoud Hemida, along with Carmen Bsaibes, Mahmoud Hegazy, and Rita Hayek. It was written by Mohamed Bashir, directed by Ahmed Alaa, and produced by Synergy.
The movie is the first to be shot in four different countries: Italy, Malaysia, Bulgaria, and Egypt, and is expected to be released on July 14th.
- Al-Baad La Yazhab Lil Maazon Marratein
We’re very excited to see both Karim Abdel Aziz and Dina ElSherbini, starring together in a light comedy movie!
Al-Baad La Yazhab Lil Maazon Marratein raises questions about marriage and the conflicts that married couples go through in a light-hearted way. Abdel Aziz plays the role of a TV presenter who unveils facts about marriage and why they might eventually lead to divorce. The film also stars Maged El Kedwany, Bayoumi Fouad with several guest appearances including, Nelly Karim, Amr Abdel Gelil, Ahmed Fahmy, and Nasreen Amin.
Written by Ayman Wattar and directed by Khaled Al-Hafnawy, the movie is set to be released on the 7th of July.
- Mesh Ana
Mesh Ana stars Egyptian singer/actor Tamer Hosny and will witness the return of Hala Shiha to the silver screen for the first time in 13 years! The movie also stars Sawsan Badr, Maged El Kedwany, Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, and Hagag Abdel-Azim. The plot follows Hassam, who suffers from a psychological condition while having to take care of his ill mother.
The movie is set to be released on the 23rd of June.
- Moussa
Moussa is written and directed by Peter Mimi and stars big names including Eyad Nassar, Asmaa Abou El Yazeed, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Malek, and Mohamed Lotfy.
The sci-fi/action follows the story of an engineering student in college who’s trying to avenge his father’s death. To do so, he invents a robot to help him seek justice for his father, which results in the Egyptian authorities beginning to pursue him.
The movie is set to be released on the 18th of July.
- El Serb
Based on real-life events, El Serb follows the actions of the Egyptian armed forces during a terroristic attack on civilians that led to the killing of 21 Egyptians. The movie will highlight the success of the airstrike, which was carried out by the Egyptian aviation force in Libya against ISIS.
The films stars a line-up of A-listers including Ahmed el Sakka, Sherif Mounir, Hend Sabry, Asser Yassin, Karim Fahmy, and Ahmed Hatem. It was written by Omar Abdel Halim and directed by Ahmed Galal.
The release date is yet to be set, but one thing for sure is that we can’t wait to see this historic moment on screen.
