One of the most anticipated annual fashion events, Paris Fashion Week, just wrapped up its 2019 edition yesterday, the 1st of October. It was no surprise that the Egyptian luxury brand, Okhtein, took part in the extravagant event. Just like it was also no surprise that a leading fashion magazine such as Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) would highlight the Egyptian brand.

WWD published an article, titled “The Most Buzzy Accessories Labels at Paris Fashion Week”, and Okhtein earned its place on the list. As the luxury products market is becoming saturated, the article sheds light on up-and-coming brands that have paved their way through by standing out. And Oktein was mentioned among other brand booming names such as Wandler, Medea, and Miista.

Okhtein took the contemporary fashion scene by storm soon after its founding back in 2014. Not only has it quickly gained international acclaim, but it has successfully earned the affinity of superstars such as Beyoncé, Emma Watson, and Cardi B.

The Abdelraouf sisters, the masterminds behind the label, weren’t afraid to broaden their horizons. Besides the variety of handbags, inspired by our rich Egyptian heritage, the designers added a bespoke range of sunglasses for the SS’20 collection. The slick shades, with Okhtein’s iconic brass frames, were also featured in WWD’s article.
