It has been officially announced that on Friday the 12th of this month, Farida Osman broke the Pro Swim Series record at the meet in Richmond, Virginia, in the 50m fly (25.65 seconds). The current existing record was set by Kelsi Dahlia (25.74 seconds). Speaking of Dahlia, the American swimmer finished second to our very own Osman, with a time of 25.90 seconds. This victory places Osman as second in the world, with only Sarah Sjostrom (25.34 seconds) ahead of Osman.
Congratulations to Farida Osman on her latest record-breaking performance! This adds to her list of achievements and is a testament of Osman’s capacity to run (or swim) through obstacles, crash all barriers, and shatter all records. Additionally, this surely asserts Osman’s status as Africa’s best female swimmer!
We are undeniably proud of Osman; here’s to many more record-breaking performances, and accolades!
