Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly conducted a meeting on Wednesday the 19th of May with Egypt's Coronavirus crisis management committee to discuss decisions regarding lockdowns and other prevention steps, according to Enterprise.

The curfew for cafes and shops that starts at 9:00 PM, introduced on the 6th of May, has been extended until the end of the month. However, beaches and parks are now open under strict precautionary measures.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister has ordered to expand the next phase of the national vaccination programme to benefit those who work in tourism facilities and hotels across the nation. This comes after completing the programme for workers across East Sinai and the Red Sea. The plan will also include prisoners, pensioners, and factory workers.

An order of 20 million doses of the Russian vaccine Sputnik has been made, along with 20 million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

With more people getting vaccinated every day, we hope that COVID-19 might be coming to an end soon.
