If you’ve just finished high school, then you must be excited to embrace the new chapter that university will bring. However, all that excitement doesn’t mean you know everything you need to keep in mind, though.
Since we’ve been in that boat before, allow us to give you a few tips that we think will make college much easier for you!
A mistake most kids who grew up wearing uniforms make is overdressing when going to university. So here’s a general tip: Don’t do that. If you overdress, you’ll probably hear tons of Khalaf El Dahshoury Khalaf jokes, which might stay with you for a while. Just make sure you dress comfortably and that you feel good in your own skin.
College is nothing like school, which means you’re about to meet hundreds of new people from all walks of life. You should try to be outgoing and much more open to meeting new people, even if they’re wildly different from the ones you knew at school.
Join A Student Activity
Even though student activities sound like a lot of work, they’ll be fun. Not only will you get to meet new people, but you might also learn a skill or two that might help you later on. Additionally, student activities and the buzz around them will make you much more in tune with student life on campus.
Sure, this may seem obvious, but then again, lots of people seem to forget this general life tip. With college campuses being as huge as they are and classes being harder, you’re going to be a lot more active, which means you’ll need to be ten times more hydrated. So make sure to keep a water bottle or flask on you at all times!
This is arguably the most important tip of all. Even though college represents a new stage, you don’t have to be someone you’re not just to fit in. Don’t go out of your way to impress people because it won’t be worth it in the long run, especially since it might just cause unnecessary hassles.
