Throughout our lives, we get overwhelmed by the crushing amount of responsibilities. Women, especially Egyptian women, are juggling a lot at once. From housework, bringing up children, and handling their careers to maintaining their sanity!   

After marriage, there is this belief that a woman’s message in life has been delivered! She then crowns herself as the altruist, the doesn’t-need-anything figure. Why though? 

Showing how it’s done, these five women, and wives, have different battles to fight, but they all have the same outcome; they can do anything they put their minds to. They truly pulled off being wives who can handle a successful career at the same time.

Ola Roshdy 

Such a familiar face; she is the face of this next-door girl with a warm smile and endearing eyes! Ola is a famous actress known for always being there for her family and embracing natural beauty. She even has a web series that resonates, titled Weg-het Mazar, where she speaks about how a woman can go around and around multitasking! This web series further emphasises that she has never failed to seek out her own career. FYI, she speaks three languages and a bit of Spanish. Being a wife, a mum, and a public figure seems to have never rendered her incapable. And the cherry on top, she’s funny too!

Radwa El Hama’i  

Writing in a funny style and a light heart, Radwa seems to have echoed our message and told us literally: "Yes. I am here.” She started with a career and a bun in the oven, thinking about how she could handle a career with an unquenchable lump of needy cuteness!  She started her own project of “Mommy’s at Work” to support working mums. 

Mai Medhat  

She’s the CEO and founder of Eventtus; we don’t think we need to explain any further! However, SHE WAS INVITED TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH BARACK OBAMA AND MARK ZUCKERBERG, people! The girl is going it big. She is a married woman who always has her husband’s back; they grew together in the business field. How adorable is that? 

Neveen El Tahri   

Not only a wife, a mother, and a female made of pure titanium, she is also a grandmother! Neveen is the founder and president of the board of directors of Delta Investment Holding Company, and the first female to head the board of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority. She won multiple awards, whether nationally for her input to the Egyptian investment environment, or globally for her economic empowerment of women. She is balancing both personal and professional lives more than anyone can fathom!  

Mona Zaki

One of the best couples to lay your eyes on is Ahmed Helmy and Mona Zaki. We can even exaggerate and say they have been giving us more reasons to get married. They’re both widely loved, veteran actors, who were named UNICEF ambassadors, and loving parents. They’re both known to have supported each other through it all. So, who said that healthy marriage and successful careers don’t mix? 

With all these examples above (and we could go on forever), don’t you think it is time that we should take a moment to really appreciate the great wives in our lives?
