Award-winning restaurant, Oak Grill, is nothing short of phenomenal. The Conrad Cairo Hotel's premiere eatery may fool you by it's chic ease and unfussiness, but what goes on behind the doors of the kitchen can only be described as gastronomical magic - that's a fancy way of saying the food's real good.
It's Oak Grill's sophisticated approach to food that has lured a world-renowned Michelin Star chef to the Conrad.
The chef in question is France's Thierry Verrat and he'll be taking the reigns at the Oak Grill kitchen for ten days, starting tomorrow (Monday 24th of November) till Thursday 4th of December.
During that time, Verratt will be cooking his trademark French haute cuisine for lunch and dinner alongside famed pastry chef, Alexander Ble. In addition, Verratt will be imparting some of his wisdom with cooking lessons on Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th, both at 11.30AM.
Crafting his own special menu for the visit, Verrat is pulling all the stops and diners can expect to feast on some truly unique dishes. How does Dover sole filet covered with truffle puff pastry and grilled leek or coral butter flavoured lobster with with tarragon dried tomatoes sound? Not a seafood fan, huh? Well, there's always the grilled duck breast, wild mushrooms, cream of garlic andsalad of garden herbs amongst other things.
