If you were at 6IX Degrees at any point this last weekend, you’ve only probably just recovered from what was a huge three nights at the Sahel super club. It all kicked off with one of Lebanon’s most popular parties, Bazaar Night, which left the colourful nightlife of Beirut for a little Sahel excursion. As was expected, clubbers came out in droves for the unique night – but there’s much more to come this weekend.
Things get off to a sizzling start on Thursday night with another foreign import. This time, it’s Disconekt, which comes our way from Dubai, where it’s one of the city’s most popular nights thanks to its eclectic, versatile and oh so dance-friendly approach to music. This special night will see Swiss superman, Frederick Stone, and Dubai dazzler, Michka, take to the stage at what is a night for pure music lovers.
Things continue as they started on Friday, meanwhile, with a hot and heavy night. This weekend’s edition of 6IX Degrees’ newly launched series, Friday Heat, welcomes Lebanese singer and blonde bombshell, Maya Diab, on a night that will also see one of Egypt’s most in-demand belly-dancers, Maya Maghraby, perform with DJ Haadi Saba also on hand.
Sahel calms down a little on Saturdays, as we all begin the long trudge back to real life, but not with 6IX Degrees – in fact, they’re dialling things up a few notches for what’s looking like a hip-hop feast of the highest order. Homies is already one of the biggest dates on every hip-hop fan’s calendar and this special 6IX Degrees edition is set to bring together two of Egypt’s biggest hip-hop connoisseurs, Ramy DJunkie and AK.
