The clock is ticking, folks. As hard as it might be to admit, the end of Sahel Season isn’t too far off. Sad is it may be, 6IX Degrees doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon and this weekend is possibly one of the biggest for the Sahel super club.
First up on Thursday is one of Egypt’s hottest acts right now. Riding the waves off of a fresh album release, Amr Emad and Mostafa El Sherif, aka Disco Misr, are set to kick off the weekend with their unique Arabic-retro-meets-nu-disco stylings. As one of the most in-demand acts in Egypt this year, this is set to be one of the most unique nights at 6IX Degrees this summer - and just to add a little bit of sparkle to proceedings, creative duo, the Glitter People, will be on hand for anyone looking to add pizzazz to their outfit with face and body-painting.
If you like your North Coast nightlife with heavy dose of the Oriental, then there’s nowhere else to be on Friday, with party-starter and rebel-rouser, Mahmoud El Leithy, set to perform. But he’s in good company on the night, too, with Poussy taking to the stage and belly-dancer, Anastasia, rounding off a triple header of entertainment.
Things get distinctly retro on Saturday, meanwhile, with the second edition of 6IX Degrees’ Jukebox, where DJ Nader is playing chaperone for what is shaping up to be a merry old trip down musical memory lane.
