Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem, has announced the inauguration of the Salah El Din Citadel Festival for music, which will run from the 15^th until the 30^th of August.

Organised by the Cairo Opera House and the Ministry of Culture, the festival will witness a line-up of both local and international musicians and will present a total of 31 concerts!

So far, the confirmed names who will perform are Wust El-Balad, Ahmed Effat, Mai Farouk, Ali El Haggar, Hani Shaker, Sheikh Yassin El Tohamy, Hisham Abbass, Hala Roushdy, and Nesma Mahgoub, among others.

This isn’t the festival’s first edition, but last year’s was cancelled because of restrictions enforced in light of the pandemic.

The festival’s edition in 2018 won an international badge for the first time ever, so we’re very hopeful and excited for this year’s edition!
