Do you have ideas that can reform or shape the world? A new program called Rise has risen as an opportunity for all young talents to showcase what they can offer.

On the 16^th of November, 2020, Schmidt Futures, in partnership with The Rhodes Trust, announced that there would be an opening for applications for Rise until the 29^th of January, 2021, but due to high demand from applicants, they have extended the deadline to the 10^th of February to give an opportunity for more people to apply and showcase their talents. Young people aged 15 to 17 years old can apply to Rise through Hello World - Rise, a global, mobile-first platform for Android on Google Play and iOS on App Store here.

The programme is a new global talent program to find outstanding young people who need the opportunity, and support them for life as they use their talents to build a better world. Rise is the anchor program of a broader $1 billion commitment from Eric and Wendy Schmidt.

The programme paves the way for young talents from around the world who have the potential to use their skills to tackle the world's most pressing issues, e.g. global warming. The programme will build a global community of rising leaders, connecting everyone who applies with peers worldwide, providing free learning resources and access to additional opportunities from the Rise network of partners. Additionally, each year, Rise will select 100 Global Winners and provide them with a lifetime of personalised support — including scholarships, mentorship, career services, and access to funding to develop their ideas — as they work together to serve others.
