Hailing from the Egyptian melting pot and city of art, Alexandria, Mohamed Khalifa is an independent filmmaker and content creator, now based in Cairo. The artist's great sense of storytelling intrigued us enough to feature him for this week's #TalentTuesdays. So, are you ready to take a look behind his lens?

Khalifa has a thing for chasing stories, and more importantly, telling them through his lens. After all, what's better than telling a story through art? Filmmaking, in particular, is a great form of expression, and Khalifa definitely excelled at it with his unique style.

Having a background in media, as he studied mass comm and majored in radio and television studies, surely added to his skills set. However, without his obvious talent and remarkable vision, he wouldn't have stood out. Khalifa's mostly known for his travel and tourism-related commercial work. His portfolio includes impressive advertorials for clients such as Sofitel Legend Old Cataract, Mercure, Four Seasons, Sheraton, and more. And we'd have to say, his work makes you want to start packing and roam Egypt.

Not just that, Khalifa has six years of experience in indie filmmaking up his sleeve. His work involves several documentary films like In Defense of Extraordinary Dreams and Against the Current. The one that garnered attention the most was Alexandria's Miracle, which was an official selection by the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) back in 2015. The documentary follows the inspiring story of Ahmed Hakim, a man that in spite of his disability, challenged the world, and himself, to become a productive member of society.

Khalifa's work is truly impeccable, so make sure to follow him on Instagram. If you have some time to spare, we'd highly recommend you to pay his YouTube channel a visit as well.
