Over the past few years, we’ve been used to watching one or two comedies during Ramadan, and a large number of dramas. However, It looks like comedies will be having the largest share of Ramadan 2020.

Here is a list of 5 anticipated comedies in Ramadan:

#1 Wasl Amana

Masrah Masr’s stars, Ali Rabie and Mostafa Khater will hit the screen together for the first time in Wasl Amana TV series, after working together for almost seven years in the theatre. Wasl Aamana is a comedy series of standalone episodes.

Besides Ali Rabie and Mostafa Khater, Wasl Amana stars Hala Fakher, Mohamed Mahmoud, and Sobhi Khalil. It is written by Farouk Hashem and Mostafa Omar. It’s directed by Moataz El Tony.

#2 100 Wesh

100 Wesh was supposed to be screened in Ramadan 2019 under the name El Nasabeen, but for unknown reasons, it was postponed until this year. The events revolve within a comic framework in which Nelly Karim appears in a completely different role from her previous works, and this is the second collaboration between Karim and the superstar Asser Yassin.

100 Wesh is written by Amr El Daly and Ahmed Wael, and directed by Kamla Abu Zekry.

#3 Welad Embaba

Finally, and after many years of absence, the superstar Samir Ghanem returns in Welad Embaba, which is a comedy series that includes a large group of comedy stars and special guests such as Hamada Helal, and Hisham Maged.

Welad Embaba stars Farida Saif El Nasr, Ahmed Sheeba, Saad El Soghair, Shams, Nader Abu El Leif, Abdullah Meshref, Mourad Fekry, Hani El Asmar, Mahmoud Faris, Ismail Farghaly, Muhammad Farouk, Berlanti Fouad, Oka&Ortega, Yousra El Masoudi, and Bosy Shaheen. The series is written by Ayman Bakry, and directed by Mamdouh Zaki. 

#4 Timon w Bomba

Timon w Bomba is a comedy series of standalone episodes. It revolves around a reckless young man and his family, consisting of his father, sister, and her husband. The entire family get together and plot something. Throughout their journey to achieve their goal, they’re placed in hilarious situations every episode.

This comedy series stars Ahmed Fahmy, Akram Hosni, Bayoumi Fouad, and Weezo, and is written by Ayman Wattar, and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy.

#5 Etnen Fel Sandook

Another golden duo from Masrah Masr will hit the screens this Ramadan; Hamdy El Merghany and Osos.

Etnen Fel Sandook is a comedy series that revolves around street cleaners, and what they are exposed to.

Besides El Merghany and Osos, Etnen Fel Sandook stars Rehab El Gamal, Bayoumi Fouad, Heidi Refaat, Ahmed Abdullah Mahmoud, Entisar. The series is written by Loay El Sayed, and directed by Mohammad Mustafa.
