Art enthusiasts and history buffs are absolutely going to love this upcoming art exhibition set to take place on the Giza Plateau in October 2021. Held by Art D'Égypte, this is going to be the first exhibition of its kind there, and we’re already super excited.

Forever Is Now is an exhibition that aims to reflect the influence of Ancient Egypt on artists, and what backdrop would be better for this other than the Great Pyramids of Giza? The exhibition will take the form of an art trail that takes you around the 4,500-year-old site, and will feature the works of both Egyptian and international artists.

Founder of Art D'Égypte, Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, and independent curator and consultant, Simon Watson, will be selecting the artists that will participate in the exhibition. Meanwhile, Egyptian archaeologist and former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs, Dr Zahi Hawass, will be advising on the route.

According to the Art Newspaper, the event, with the support of Egypt’s national commission for UNESCO and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, will take place from the 23rd of October until mid-November 2021.

Art D'Égypte, the platform behind this brilliant idea, aims to promote Egyptian art while shedding light on and preserving our rich heritage by holding similar exhibitions at historic venues. Their first exhibition was A Night of Art at the Egyptian Museum which was held back in 2017. After the event’s success, some of the displayed artworks were selected to be exhibited at the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in London. Art D'Égypte also organised similar events at Manial Palace and Al Mu’iz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi Street.
