Rami Malek, the actor who took the world by storm with his outstanding roles in TV shows and movies, has just been nominated for the 2019 Oscars (Best Actor) after his role as Freddie Mercury (Queen’s Lead Vocalist) in Bohemian Rhapsody.
Bohemian Rhapsody has also been nominated for four other Oscars: Best Motion Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Sound Editing.
Deadline.com captured Malek’s reaction in words after the news, where he said “It’s momentous, it’s something you dream of when you get into this business; it’s the ultimate accolade.”
Recently, Malek won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes 2018 for his performance as Freddy Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. Here is his speech after the receiving the award.
Malek is well-known for his role as Elliot Anderson in Mr. Robot (2015), and other supporting roles in The Pacific, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and Battleship.
