Up-and-coming Egyptian singer, Tasneem Elaidy, has gained mass popularity after her TikTok covering Masked Wolf’s Astronaut in the Ocean went viral. After her video garnered over a million views on TikTok, she was noticed by the song’s original singer, Masked Wolf, and asked to duet the song with him via TikTok. The duet helped her gain even more attention online, getting her noticed by regional and international TikTok users.

Elaidy is only 20 years old and is currently studying Music Production at the American University in Cairo. Starting singing at 13, she launched her attempt at a music career by posting covers of popular songs on social media, which eventually brought a lot of traffic to her pages. This year, Elaidy released her EP titled “Blue Shirt”, available on Spotify, Anghami, and Apple Music.
